Longtime friends Ginger Johnson and Robyn Kneubuhl make up Maui's own Hula Honeys. Blending vintage Hapa Haole songs with hip jazz classics to create a swinging sweet sound all their own.
The Hula Honeys are known primarily for performing the enchanting music from Hawaii's territorial days, songs that take you back to Boat Days and Waikiki's golden era, all performed with elegance, spirit, and aloha. Within their versatile repertoire, you can hear everything from traditional Hawaiian ballads to tin pan alley standards, charmingly updated with a light air of contemporary Hawaiian jazz and some originals.
The Hula Honeys and bassist Jonathan Drechsler can be heard weekly on Monday nights at Hana Hou in Haiku from 6-9 pm.
Their new CD, Girl Talk, is now available for purchase from our store or through retailers everywhere.
